The OCN Pow-Wow Planning Committee has been established to coordinate the Dancing Lodge ceremonies, singing and dancing activities, Feast and Giveaway.
The Theme of “Honoring The Women” explains that we must recognize, encourage, and honor our women as they are our life givers and caretakers of our communities. This year we want to honor our women of not only our community, but the entire female population of the world. Women, aboriginal and non-aboriginal, have come a very long way in paving the way for equality and promoting that we are all equal. This year’s Pow Wow honors our mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, nieces, daughters, and granddaughters that have contributed to the success of us a community and nation.
